10 ga. on the wings approx. 16″ long

6 ga. on the legs approx. 24″ long

How are you preserving the head? The colors you listed will work for the head.

Is there a reason for wrapping a body, if you are new to this you may be ahead of the curve by just purchasing a commercial body?

thanks for the help, the man reason for making my own body is it will be cheaper and i want to make my own rather than order a form everytime i need one. i am following Jason Gierike’s video from youtube. i would like to order a more updated video from someone but not sure what would be a good one i have already made a incision from anus to above breast to remove the breast meat so leg to leg incision mount is out of the question i guess.

Sounds like you have a real train wreck starting.

If your really serious about making your own forms to save money, you should carve it rather then wrap it for a turkey. With the time it takes ( and knowledge) to carve a good turkey form, you would be better off buying one.

If your not going to freeze dry the head, I am hoping your going to be using an artificial head ?

Takes D’s advice and get a good video to start.
