OfflineGetting ready to do my first parrot. Do you skin it like you would a duck down the breast? Do you sever the leg at the knee like a duck? Last, what gauge wire would you recommend for the legs and feet? The lady knows this is my first parrot and she has requested the bird be sanding on one foot with the other reaching for a bell. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do it just like any other bird. Compare the size to a duck your familiar with and use that size wire. A 10ga should be ok for 1 leg. Again, depending on the species. Carve or wrap a body to size. Also, skin the head for an artficial one, and rebuild it with apoxy sculpt.
