Do you wash birds with warm water or cold water?

Hot water. Water heater is set at 115 degrees. Will not harm birds at all, but WILL get them cleaner! I guarentee it.

Hot also. What soap do you use. I use liquid Tide with softener.

I use the clear Dawn. Then Downy to help dissapate the soap after washing.

I wash with warm water reg Dawn and a cap of concentrated Lysol. Then spray GreasedLightning around the incision area then rewash again in liquid tide.Into the Colemans.

Small birds and ducks, 10-15 minutes. Big birds, geese and up, 15-20 minutes. Where I live, soaking longer will cause the primaries on big birds to soak up the water like a syringe and go sour 2 weeks later. It takes 4 more weeks before the smell disipates.
