Listen dude, don’t try to fool us by taking a photo of a live woody and photo shopping the head onto a background! It won’t work I tell you, it just won’t work! What I want to know is how you got that duck to stay still long enough to give its head feathers a bath without it flapping like crazy and clawing you with its toe nails.
Alright, done messing with you. It looks super.

OfflineLMAO Vic! that’s quite the compliment! thank you. nothing more than a properly cleaned bird, a quality repo head with detail added to aid in the proper shape for natural crown detail, and of a different technique to finishing bills and feet. I was somewhat in a rut after almost 40 years as a full time taxidermist when it came to birds. applying some new materials and techniques to the process tweaked that lull I was experiencing. The other was watching the DVD set I have listed in the For Sale section. IMO, the best DVD set for waterfowl ever available. a couple of more pix of Wood Duck bills in the process od finishing with Pan Pastels. once again Vic, thanks
