OfflineSooo of all things ive been researching on here, fish intimidate me like no other.. Mainly because its much more artistic than deer with air brushing and such…. Now, im sure that not everyone here went to art school before they worked on fish.. but is it really hard? Yes practice is everything… but is that it? Or is there tricks to learn or what? I dont want to turn down fish as a project, but i also dont want my non-artistic skills to ruin it either… Heck i mess up stick people.. lol

OfflineGet some videos or better yet subscribe to Taxidermy Insider. Learn the basic principles and apply them to other fish. You can find paint schedules from the taxidermy supply companies and modify them to achieve what you are looking for. Not as hard as you think. Good luck!!!

OfflineI guess just looking at some of the texture, and colors of a fish, like i know i cant draw and paint, so it worried me.. But i still think i might put it on the back burner for a while.. :/ it really intimidates me lol. But i plan to subscribe to TI, and i’ll research it.. I just didnt know if it was something that was learn-able, or if you got it you got type style of taxidermy.. :p
