I just found out that Jimmy Warren of Warren Taxidermy in Panama City Florida pasted away yesterday. He was an outstanding man that would go out of the way to help a fellow taxidermist even if he didn’t know you . Prayers sent to his family and friends . God speed .

Very sad to hear about Mr Warren passing. We bought hundreds of blanks from Jimmy over the years . He was highly skilled at making large, durable fiberglass blanks that were light weight and didn’t egg shell. That is difficult to pull off and Jimmy was one of the best at it.

We put up a little tribute to him on the homepage.

I bought a 74″ Tarpon Replica from him 4 or 5 years ago from him.  I had posted pics of that fish on this site previously.  I remember that Jimmy was a very friendly and helpful person and a pleasure to talk with over the phone.  I remember he emailed me pictures of the mold before I purchased the replica and answered all of my questions which was a lot back then.  I hoped to do business again with him someday unfortunately I don’t do many saltwater replicas.  Does anyone know if a family member or someone will continue running his business?
