Fish Pic Friday !
Some exceptional fish posted last week.
Please post pictures of your fish taxidermy work for all to enjoy ! All skill levels welcome.
A few rules on the thread:
1. No critiques unless asked for.
2. Keep it positive.
I will start this week with a 49″ Skin Mount Muskey. Carved form, real head used. This is a great example of a muskey with very faint side marking. Sometimes we refer to this as a clear muskey. During the battle to bring the fish in, the fins flushed more red. Our client wanted that look in his fish.

Original teeth and jaw set on a repo Mako Shark. Blanked primed, and detailing the jaw set and gums with Pan Pastels before blocking out the mouth and painting the blank

Thank you Aaron ! Last I talked to him he was having a little health problems but he was still working every day and adding on to his Already Big Shop . The family and I usually go to Florida every summer and I’ll swing by and see him while we’re down there . But we didn’t make it down this year . Ive always enjoyed stopping by his place and talking to him and seeing what he has going on . He is a super nice guy !! You never know if him and Kenny are making a little bluegill or a great white shark lol . Planning on making a trip down there this coming year though .
