They are both running and freeze drying in our line up right now. They have good seals , hold a low vacuum and maintain a constant low temperature in the product chamber. The ice bank holds a steady temperature of – 50 to – 75 . We are selling two of our  Northstar Freeze dry machines to make way for more equipment.
