We have made some improvements to the For Sale section. Our members will have a better user experience, and it will be easier then ever to sell your taxidermy related items.
A few of the improvements we have made:
Posts cannot be bumped
When a new item is listed or a reply is made to a For Sale listing, it does not bump down the post ahead of it. All new posts are automatically put at the bottom of the For Sale listing page. When someone comes on looking to buy, they have to look over all the Items For Sale to find the new listing, giving your items more exposure.
For Sale listing expire after 10 days
To keep the forum clutter free, all For Sale posting expire and are deleted after ten days. This gives more exposure to new items and save buyers time from looking through old posts. If your item does not sell after ten days, you can re-list it.
No Commercial Messages
Individuals and taxidermists can list in the For Sale section at no charge. Supply companies, wholesalers, tanneries, large volume cape & skin dealers and other companies making products for taxidermists cannot post in this section. They are encouraged to sign up as Advertising Sponsors. Their messages can be posted in the Advertising Sponsors Category.
Double Listing is not allowed
These posts will be removed.
What can be listed in the For Sale Section:
Any items relating to taxidermy and outdoor activities can be sold here.
What cannot be Sold here:
We do not allow any firearms or weapons to be sold here. Non Taxidermy items may be sold here, but we reserve the right to remove any item we do not feel belongs on the site.
Items found to be sold illegally will also be removed.
Taxidermy Talk Forums, The AJ Stehling Co and Stehling’s Taxidermy LLC are not responsible for any items sold on this site. We do not facilitate the exchange of money on this site, that is between the seller and buyer. It is up to the seller and buyer to make sure the items are legal for sale. Please note that many items can be sold in one area, but are illegal for sale in another. Crossing international borders and state lines can also be illegal for many items. Do research before you buy or sell.
If you have a record of bad transactions on the site, your membership may be terminated.
Some Buying and Selling tips:
– When selling, provide a detailed description with pictures. Include a price in your listing. Adding your Name, address, phone and email also help build trust with potential buyers.
– When buying, buy from sellers with contact information on their listing. If a seller puts a lot of time into the description, adds pictures and gives a price, it is more likely to be a legitimate, quality sale item. Also check the sellers rating forum before you buy.
