This Hog came through the shaving room today. This thing is huge, I’ve seen some this big and bigger. But what jumped out at me was the hooves.

I may make myself look like an idiot, but everything I’ve seen from the Swine family has always had cloven hooves.

Check out these pics, can someone explain this to me?

We call them mule footed hogs. Every once in a while we’ll bay one. Sorry I dont have a scientific name.

Mulefoot it is!! Every now and then, somebody around here has a few of them still floating around. Use to see them quite regular at the livestock market. Not so much any more……

I’ve been doing this a long time, and thats the first one I have ever seen.

Just when you think you have seen everything, up jumps a Mule Footed Hog. Well I’ll be damned, thanks for the help guys.

Do they always have the long tail?
