I am getting ready to mount my first deer alone. Got the smallest form I could find the skull cap looks to small, antler burs are a 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch
recessed in. I don’t know how to put pictures on. Anyone have an idea?

As far as your question, there should be a space between the antler burr and the edge of the form. Do you remember the meat you removed after sawing off your antlers? The meat has to be replaced in mache, clay, or apoxy sculpt. If you got the appropriate size form for your SKIN, the antlers will fit properly on the head block. BUT, in rare instances a deer may have a larger or smaller head than normal. When that happens you will have to resize the head.
