Gonna be mounting a texas beaver, and a pretty good sized one for that matter. I’m excited about it but wanna pick your brians before I get started. I’m gonna be using an artificial tail, and want to know any of you reccomend one and also if you how to do the tucking around it.
i mold and cast all my own tails, easy to do and they look way better than the ones you buy
I’m still very very new… I’ve never molded or casted anything. I’ll do some research though and see what I find out.
I prefer to use the real one, but if you want to use a artificial one just dremel out a slot, then tuck and glue, should be very simple….Are you tanning this yourself?….DC
Yes, I will be tanning it myself. I have Lutan F and have been using it on plenty of coons, possums, squirrels, and one bobcat. Havent had any complaints yet. I’m not too excited about all the thinning that will be involved, but thats the nature of the beast.
