This Boar was done for one of my very best clients – Jeremy Semelsberger. I don’t normally get Boar in, and I’m not real big on them … for obvious reasons. But when he brought this scrapper in, I pulled out all of my references, and in not one of them did a Boar have its mouth wide open … only those where the Boar was eating. With that, I explained to Jeremy – who always wants something unique – that having it with a closed mouth, would be “different”. Seeing as how this Boar only had one ear, missing the left ear, and a shipload of scars on the left side of its face, this would make a unique mount for sure! He is mounted over a Joe Coombs Classics, CWB01L CM Wild Boar headform, using a set of Joe’s artificial tusks and whets, one of his earliners, and a pair of his competition quality Boar eyes. His nose pad is ALL HIS! No plastic parts from me.
He turned out pretty darn nice!

Loads of scars and bare spots!

Believe it or not, the hardest thing is rebuilding the understructure of the missing ear!
