Do u remember where the deer was shot? those antlers are awfully dark… really nice job on the mount
John i have tool’s and cant findem. Just bought more tape measrures only found one .Bought a good skinning knife in Missouri cant find the one i always used . I’m gonna buy an poncho and velcro all my stuff to it.
Krusher that deer was taken in Pittsburg county which is where I’m located . They are dark but i mixed linseed oil and terpetine together poured it on a rag and wiped them down so they wouldnt have that old dried look . I dont do it to all of them . But you can just tell the ones that need a little reviving .
Some deer rub on black jack tree’s or second growth burned area’s. Ive taken in some that’s blackish brown before . Some does’nt look like theve rubed any at all .
