I am posting this little deer in memory of a dear friend of mine. There is definitely nothing special about the mount but there is something special about this deer. This deer was mounted for a young man by the name of Colton Perkins. Colton is the son of Dennis and Amy Perkins. Dennis was killed from the result of a treestand fall in late October of this year. He was a great father, husband and one of the best friend I ever had. We have hunter together for about twenty years and shared some great times together. For those of you that saw my little deer at the state show, Dennis is the one that built the stand it was on. He will be greatly missed by many people in this community. Please remember the family in your prayers. Dennis leaves behind 2 young sons and his wife.
Herman I lost my best friend three years ago, I understand how you feel. I still catch myself starting to call his number to tell him about something that happened or something I saw…Here is a Deer that I mounted for his nephew last week……DC

Sorry to hear about your friend Mr Herman. I almost lost my best friend 2 years ago from falling out of a deer stand but I thank the Lord he made it he has a bad limp but is still with us!!! The deer you mounted is beautiful!!! We will keep the family in our prayers!!!
Very nice mount Herman. I had the pleasure to hunt with Herman and Dennis a few years ago. It was a shock when Herman told me about Dennis. I am sure this mount will be something Colton will charish for life.

Anyone can post as long as the person posting it is the one who mounted it or gives credit to the person who did mount it, and it can be a deer mounted at anytime, does not have to be the particular week of the thread
Herman, sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.
Sorry to hear about your buddy Herman. Have a buddy of mine take a bad fall two years ago and after being life flighted and three surgeries he still walks with a bad limp. At least he lucky enough to still be able to take his son hunting and fishing. Wish everyone would use a safety harness AND a life line. Here is mine for the week.
