WE USE HQ 5000, AND GO BY THE RECCOMMENDED STEPS ON OUR CAPES. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY THE EYE LID IS STARTING TO CRACK. THIS HEAD HAS BEEN MOUNTED APPROXIMATELY 1 TO 1 1/2 YEARS.    THANKSimage.jpg

Where was it hanging at ? Near a heat source or something ?

Tommy, looks to me that the problem might be expansion/contraction of dissimilar materials. ie: dried skin, paste, glass, clay. just a guess

In a showroom, where there is no “climate control”, you will get expansion and contraction of the hide … especially on thinner areas such as around the eyes.  It is the same for a Deer head that a client would hang in a barn, for example.  You should have heat for the winter, and air for the summer, with a way to control humidity.Wink
