I’ve seen a fighting pose at the nearby general store, but I don’t have a picture. I think it was a side by side pose also. I would assume it’d be easier to make it look realistic by putting them on opposite walls in a corner… but then again. we all know what assuming does.

Actually a mixture of both. Best stuff I have found for jobs like this. Sands easy and smooth.

Starting out. The most important thing to remember is not to extend the length of the neck by not understanding where the axis or spine is, and how it works. This is also very important in tilting or rolling the head and putting a sharper turn on the deer.
On these deer, I just rolled the necks and changed the angles of the heads. Nothing to major.
