OfflineHere is my first major form alteration. The form was originally in a straight walking pose with it’s neck straight out and it’s head low to the ground. This mount is for a local archery shop and the owner wanted to recreate the moment he harvested this coyote with his bow. I am going to be adding a major snarl to the snout and was wondering if I should pre-sculpt the wrinkles with apoxie sculpt or wait and use critter clay and sculpt them during the mounting process. I figured the later would allow me to alter things if I need to, in order to make sure the lips go in the correct place. What would yall do?

OfflineWell, I finally got around to mounting this guy and figured I would post some pictures. Everything went very smoothly considering it was my first snarling coyote. I decided not to go too heavy on the snarl. Another first for me in this mount was to rotate the eyes to focus on the fletching of the arrow.
