D, if you’ll notice in the reference, whatever angle the shoulder is, so is the Metacarpus bone. (the one below the knee) Same as a back leg. The radius can be different, as long as the other 2 match. And I’d drop the neck more too with the head. Thanks for your $20 bucks.:)
I cut the legs and shoulders off againI don’t have pics of that because my camera battery died.
Anyway, I repositioned them and rotated the shoulders more. Poured alot of foam, building up the shoulder area and filling voids.
Then I carved all afternoon today, this is what I came up with.

HB, it was a lot of work. With the time, foam and bondo I have in it I really didn’t save any money. But if I ordered one I still would have had to alter it, do to this being a fairly small deer 6 3/4″ X 17″. Not as drastic, but still would have had to alter.
But what I learned from this project as far as W/T anatomy goes, is worth what I’m getting paid. I seen things in references I had never noticed before, from a standing deer to a jumping deer. The knowledge I gained was priceless, but yes I am being compensated well.

Looking good D. Watching all the form alterations has given me some insight on anatomy of the deer. Thanks for all you do to help out on here, and to the others that contribute, it has brought my taxidermy work a long way!!!!O by the way What baseball game you watching:biggergrin:
