Anyone got any ideas o how to fix fox ears?  When I got the fox I sprayed the ears with stop rot before freezing and when I go it out I sprayed them as well when they thawed.  I thought when I tanned the hide (after salting, pickling and EZ-100) I thought it would be ok.  I froze it and took it out today and low and behold one of the ears had a small slip.  The other was much bigger.  Dang it! Yell

It could be the stop rot doing it. I have had issues using stop rot in the past . Maybe next time try it without the stop rot . I never have an issue with fox ears slipping.

OK.  Next time I will skip the stop rot.  I had a coyote ear slip I used it on also but I figured it may be the field handling that caused it.Confused
