Thanks Jeff ! Yeah they are really short hair when our season opens in early September. This one was taken the first week of the season .

I really like the vein work on the deer.  My grandson got an early buck this year with short hair.  I would like to try and show a little vein on his deer.  Was the vein work on the form enough to show that or did you have to do something extra to get that look?

Thank you Gary ! On this one I just used a small rasp and rasped around the veining that was in the form . I have rolled out some apoxie sculpt and smooth it on top of the existing veins on the face . As the deer is drying just keep working your details in . If you have a early season cape with short hair and thin skin it want take much to get it to show . Hope I helped ya out a little . Good luck !
