The earliners and ear butts I get from Head Quarters work well for me without a lot of modification . I may have to sand form or base of ear base a little then blend with clay .
But I also like building clay from ear liner base to the form . Using reference . Blend into form . Then cut bottom of clay earbutts with liner still in . Put in freezer for an hour. Then mount . Clay will keep muscle detail as you mount .
Both work well .
