No I do, I have seen a lot of mounts done on this form and never seen one with the throat patch that far off to the side. I’m not saying its right or wrong by no mean. I know you should not go by other mounts but go to the HQ catalog and look at the mounts on that same form and you will see what I mean. I also notice in your pictures that most of the deer are looking behind them which gives them more turn at the head which would throw the white patch off to the side more. Sorry if you got up set I was only trying to help. Gary
I have been watching this thread all day hoping it wouldn’t go south. I would like to applaud both of you for handling it as you have. No name calling or bad mouthing, just a good ole fashioned discussion.
I see Gary’s side as cosmetically it looks better if the throat patch was centered, I also see how Hackleback was reading the live reference pics and interpreted what he seen.
I would like to thank both of you for handling this as gentlemen and not getting bent out of shape about it. Thats what this site is all about.
…..and just food for thought, if someone post a pic. of their work but do not ask for a critique, I don’t give a critique. I will just find something positive to say or just not say anything at all.
Some members post pics of their work here because they like to participate without being scrutinized, and I think it’s only fair that they get that chance to do so as a member of this forum family.
We always shift them with the neck, very similar to how hackleback/ Jody does it. I would say he is correct with his alignment.
