I don’t know what is going on around here but my numbers are way down from last year at this time!!! I have 14 shoulder mounts and around 13 or 14 skull mounts and horn plaques. The Blue Tougue was pretty hard around here this year and I am sure that is having something to do with it.

Saw some small bucks chasing Sunday but Monday and Tuesday did not see much because it has warmed back up . I am with Jeremy the cold snap got them moving and it is going to get back cold on Friday so you better be ready. Should be a good weekend for some killing ;).

Our rut should just be starting, saw two little bucks together yesterday so it’s not heated up much yet. Problem here is it’s been so wet almost all the corn is still standing, and around here when the corns up, the deer kill is down!:angry:

i think the problem here is the swamps have been dry for two years now, so instead of 300 acres to hide on they have 3000.
I went hunting this evening and for 3 hours I heard no shots what so ever….none…… Sat, I bet I heard 20 or more…..DC
Same here DC, even talked to one of our bigger processor’s today and he said they didn’t receive a deer all day yesterday or this morning.
I think I get up and go in the morning after this front moves through I figure they will be up and moveing…DC
It has been too hot for the bucks to be cruising, the only time they will get up and move a lot in this weather is if a doe in heat is nearby, the front will help
