 I have a bobcat and a deer that were done for me about 15 years ago, they arent looking very good, How do I go about doing a remount on them? I am not sure what the guy used for a preservative, borax or if he tanned them, he is a fairly old fella now and I am pretty certain he wont remember. Is there a way to tell ? If it was done in dry preservative can it be reconstituted and then properly tanned ? Can it be reconstituted? I am lost on this and I know eventually someone is going to bring one in like this and I would rathe learn on my own stuff. Thanks

For the deer, I would just buy a new cape and remount it with that. As far as the cat, you may not be able to do very much with it.
