A recent project. With all the controversy in WI right now with the wolf hunt, we thought this would be a timely piece.

I like that. I want something similar for my show room. Maybe a buck head down chasing a doe. Or two bucks locked up.
Nice job on both.

I love reminding people who eat meat and use and wear and sit on leather of our abundance of renewable resources. And controlling them before they start eating thousands of ranchers calves. Which in turn we pay for their loss.

I agree. Most of the propaganda the antis’ are using portrays wolves as docile , gentle creatures. We all know they are far from that. I am looking forward to getting my wolf tag !!

This wolf is from Alaska btw.

We tried to keep the mood of the piece dark, hence the dark base with sparse, dead habitat. We really wanted the base to frame and set the tone for the piece…..almost as if they are on the line between life and death.

We also wanted to show off the size of a wolf compared to a deer. Most people have no idea just how big these things are.

It is the most popular piece in our showroom by far.

I like the way taxidermy can show the mood or intent of an animal as in nature. In this case a carnivore doing what he does best. Kill. Good job.
