I just got home from spending over 6 hours with Tommy and his deer. This was my first time in a pen with Whitetails, and my friends, it is amazing what you see in person that a still photo can not show you.
If you want to study Whitetails where you can touch and see muscles move and how they work, you must call Tommy and make plans to go spend the day him, it is an experience you will not forget. DON”T FORGET TO TAKE YOUR CAMERA!!!
It doesn’t get any closer than his nose pad pressed against the camera lens.

Tommy said he can handle him when he is by himself, but he is not fond of strangers so he kept his distance.
It must have something to do with getting older, because the older I get I’m not as fond of strangers either.:innocent:

They don’t come no nicer than Tommy. I was lucky to spend a weekend with him while my buddy installed a alarm system in his shop. That was about 4 or 5 years ago,not sure if it’s the same big deer as then but he stayed at the back of the pen then also. Oh by the way Tommy can cook the best ribs you ever will eat.
