The day of “firsts” is coming. I ordered the mountain lion form (MTL848), 250 IQ eyes and HQ 5000 tan from Headquarters Supply today. So this is my:
First order with Headquarters….
First mountain lion I have ever attempted…
First time to use this eye…
First time to try HQ 5000 tan
First time I will be attempting a base of this size and magnitude…
First time using ear liners (always used the bonded ear method before)
Did I mention I am nervous about this project? If I pester you guys to death with questions about this mount please consider the source….So thanks for any future advice all of you may offer!
By the way D. Price, I blamed you by name for finding out about HQ and purchasing the HQ 5000 when the order taker asked how I found out about the company!
I guess I needed to vent to someone. Thanks for listening!

Vic, believe me when I say, I have been blamed for a lot worse. LOL Thanks for the order and if I can help in any way give me a holler!
My form was delivered today (around 10:00 AM) I only ordered it on Thursday. HQ has it together in their order processing and shipping department! Thanks for the great service.
Unfortunately I have not even taken it our of the box yet. I have been working on my house almost non-stop for over two weeks now.
This is probably an obvious question but I am going to ask it anyway…I am looking at those feet on the manikin in Page’s photo. (I saw this on a bear video once), will you need to saw gaps between those toes? I have not got the Ashley Barrett video yet.
Vic
Yes. Between the toes have been clayed up, so they can be molded. Otherwise, the toes would break off in the mold. Not only do you have to cut out between the toes, you need to shave off some of the outside of each toe. You have to make room for the claws to fit in. The claws are on the OUTSIDE of each toe, not the ENDS.
