I guess it depends on the circumstances. It can be very exciting. I’m sure the folks that live in big bear country can tell some great stories. The only time I got concerned was when I had them in camp tearing fish a part within feet of my tent in the middle of the night, or when I came out of my tent before dark, to find a mother brown bear with cubs just on the other side. Had some restless nights on that hunt. This trip will be focused on the Dall sheep. With good weather and some luck if I fill that tag, we will spend some time trying to connect on a bear. Could be interesting 🙂

September – Massachusetts for bear, no dogs and no baiting makes for a tough hunt. October -New Brunswick for bear. Hoping to make it to Maine or Vermont also looking for bear and maybe deer. A whole lot of whitetail hunting from Sept 15 thru December 31st here in Connecticut.
I’ll be looking for this guy in my area.

Bowhunting Kansas for a week in Sept. and then back out there in Kansas for 2 weeks in November and then possibly another week late November or December. The time between these hunts will be spent close to home North Fl.,South Ga. and Alabama. If I don’t spend that last week in Kansas I may shoot up to Kentucky and spend a week hunting with my cousins Richard and Fred Young from the Kentucky Headhunters. Always a blast just to hang out with them and eat some of there moms good cookin.

I am so jealous of you guys going on all these hunts. I will be lucky if I get to go hunting around here 3 times this year. This no hunting on Sunday sucks. Saturdays are pretty busy.

A month from now I will be in Wyoming. Got my new gun in today and already sighted it in. If you need or have any gun questions Craig Harper on this site is the man to talk to. He hooked me up, with a hard to find left handed bolt action 30-06.
