With our bow season just 4 weeks away, I was reflecting today on some of the better(and worst) memories of many seasons past. I got to admit that a lot of those memories are right up there with weddings, births and all the other lifelong happenings that are never forgotten. I guess this just means that I’m getting excited once again for the upcoming season!!
This will be my first year bow hunting I am excited !!! Hurry and Open Already !!!
Im itching to Kevin! Our antlerless season opens in a few weeks, its usually 2 weeks before the regular archery season. My Son and I are usually good for 3 to 4 doe in a 1 hour sit on opening day. That usually takes the edge off until the antlered season starts. 🙂
September 1st means archery elk to me!!! That is my favorite hunt of the year.
Thats one thing I would love to do Scott is get a Elk with my Bow. Its on my bucket list

yeah, but you cant use them until the 15th. i went in a checked a couple stand sites on public land i hunt, seen a lot of travel sign. done some looking at some places that i havent been yet. found one place that looked so good it made the neck hair stand up. thats where i will be on the 15th. my biggest deer came from that property, so i know they are some good ones there.

Today was my first day in the stand bow hunting.I saw a spike and a 4 pt it was so cool just watching them and I enjoyed it so much ,cant wait till in the morning to go back 🙂
It is easy to get hooked on bowhunting, its so much more fun when the animals are up close

yesterday was our opener, only thing is that I hunt in a 40 acre cow pen, and early season doesnt see a lot of deer traffic cos the cows do a pretty good job of taking all of the leafy green plants the deer like… but they still meander thru the property every once in a while the first couple of weeks, so theres still a chance to see one… fall turkey also opened up yesterday and i have a turkey tag in my pocket, another excuse to get out 🙂
