I’m looking to get a new rifle, for coyotes, and I’m between a few different calibers, .223 Rem, .243 Win, and .270 Win, and I have a couple of questions. About how far do you think you think the .223 and the .243 could take a yote, respectively? And is .270 too much gun for a coyote? the only reason I’m considering it is because a .270 coul double as a good deer gun.

I would get the .223 for yotes , I would not worry about how far they can take a yote , they all will take one far out but the fur dammage will be less with the .223
I use a .243 with 95g and most of the time it goes thru with just the ullet hole but sometimes I hit a bone or somehing and it makes a big hole.
