Hello dear forum users, I have such a situation. A year ago in one of the regions I registered an LLC where I am both the sole founder and director. The whole year and two months this LLC has not had any activity. The P/C was only temporary. Tax returns were not seen and not filed. It so happened that it was just not useful. I myself live in another region. The question is this. Is there a point to go to close it or leave it let it hang. What may be the consequences from the tax office and law enforcement agencies?
Even if you do not conduct any business, you are required to file a zero tax return with the tax authorities. If you do not do this. You could face a fine for not filing every tax return, and a fine could be imposed on the director for not keeping the books. Once upon a time I wanted to form an llc in vermont, but started analyzing this topic. And just the fact that you have to go to another city/state in case of anything made me uncomfortable. So I abandoned the idea.
