Very cool!  Think about how great this can be showing this page to his friends at school.  Many will go home and tell their parents for sure and they will look it up.  Children are curious and there will be questions asked to him about taxidermy.  See if he can take his mount to school one day to show it to the class and maybe his teacher will let him explain just what taxidermy is.

It may not be a boost today but many of those students will remember what taxidermy is later when they go hunting or fishing and give some serious thought to having their own trophy’s mounted.  Or if they go hunting, or catch that big one as a teen they will nag their parents to get their first mounted.

Side note:  I take my mounts to my classroom and my students (high school) love seeing them and always ask questions even when I take similar mounts (medium lifesize such as raccoon and fox).  I have a game I play with them.  All my critters have a name and it must be the name of a famous mathematician starting with the letter of the species.  The last was a grey fox so the voted on name was Galileo.  (The one before that was Sylvester the Squirrel, as in James Joseph Sylvester).  It may be just talk but I put the seed in their head.  I hear comments like, “If I get a deer this year I want it stuffed.”  (Yeah, I know stuffed isn’t a good word but…!)  I have several male hunters but something else that was also interesting that I didn’t know…I have five girls right now that are also hunters.  You never know who your future clientele will be!  End of my rant!

Congratulations on making the homepage.

Thanks Vic,

We have an albino wt hanging in the school where my kids go now. We mounted it for one of their teachers. She has it hanging in her home room.  My kids come home with stories of questions they get asked all the time lol.
