Looks like some hungry Coyotes tried to take down something a little to big.

Is it possible he got into some barbed wire or someplace he should’ve stayed out of? Just wondering, horses turn and kick, so it would have to be a big pack to get at his face like that. Not that it couldn’t happen…

Coyotes will usually try to eat it’s *** out while it’s still alive, not usually go for the face.

Didn’t mean to break any rules, guess I was too profane. They will try to eat it’s butt out.

thats is true, but a 1500lb horses butt has two back legs hooked too it them back feet can take out just about any thing it connects with , when a horse kicks his face goes to the ground , and as i stated he is bit up on back legs , just not as bad as the face area

I’d send the pics to your conservation department. Maybe they’ve seen something like that before. Strange. Let us know what you find out. Hope the horse heals up ok. Pretty horse!
