Well guys I really appreciate the warm welcome to the forum. I thought I would post a few pics of some of the projects which have sowed the seed for me to want to learn alot more about taxidermy. Any input is welcomed!!!

Thanks,
WVO

One of my spring gobblers and plaque I made

VA buck european mount, and plaque I made as well

My first fish replica I painted with an airbrush, I had never picked an airbrush up before, I was happy with it but I know there is lots of room for improvement. (couple of spots on the lower part due to handling to soon) :/ that’s learning!!!

My first skin mounted largemouth bass with the guidance of my buddy Terry which is a taxidermist

Oh yeah that was the first bass I ever mounted. I have assisted with another since that one and working on another now, hoping to get to paint my second one soon. I have a ways to go to get the markings down. I’m still getting used to using the airbrush. My buddy picked my bluegill up while it was still damp and messed the paint up a little on the lower portion but it was a cast bluegill he had made to teach me how to paint so I couldn’t fuss about it:) LOL I’m hoping to get started on a couple fox squirrels soon. Thanks to a full time job I don’t have near enough time to do the amount of practice I want to do. But if it weren’t for the job I wouldn’t have a the cash to practice at all:/

Thanks,
WVO
