First time doing the whole process on my own. I’ve worked at different places as an assistant.
I’ve skinned and fleshed the hide of our mt. Lion… salted the hide but after 3 days the paws are still damp. The rest of the hide is dried nicely. Any advice. Worried about slippage. We are planning on a rug mount. Hide was never frozen and is being kept in a garage.

It will dry, just needs more time. Was it fleshed good? If it has fat/grease in the skin it will take longer for it to dry and may still appear damp.

Put a fan on it, try to invert the paws of possible, you should be fine
