OfflineHi all, just going to start out by saying this this deer season was tops. Here in Indiana we are only allowed one buck per year in any season, bow,gun etc. We also have urban zone which allows a hunter to kill an additional buck but it is an earn a buck program. On Nov 5, I harvested my largest bow buck. Which was a 122″ 8pt on film. At that point I had already harvested 2 does previously. Then I got permission to hunt an urban zone. On Nov 25, I harvested my earn a buck does which wa. Being chased by a 140″ class buck. So that night on my way home I stopped off and purchased my urban zone buck tag. On Nov 26, @ 7:30am I arrowed again my largest bow buck!!!! Shot was a little back and as the buck disappeared out of sight I heard a loud snap. I thought he had piled up but upon the blood color and amount of it I decided to give him at lease 8hrs. Upon tracking my buck I quickly realized what the snapping sound I heard was. He broke his right antler off below the burr thank god!! So unfortunately I cut off his left. Also in that 8hr period something started eating the face of my deer. Before I removed the rack I took an inside spread measurement swell as tip to tip for reference. After it was all said and done I green scored the rack. I score a lot of deer every year in just not an official scorer. I use all the same tools as the Boone and cricket scorers use. My buck gross scores 172 5/8 and net scores 165 2/8. He was just an 11pt. So I’m in need of some solutions to rebuild my broken rack. What is the best replacement skull cap on the market!!! Money Is no issue
