OfflineI was going to get a Dakota v from them but got a statement from a dvd I ordered yesterday dvd=20$ shipping 15$, im done with them if all possible. Ask what the shipping will be on the machine and she said they cant say. If a dvd is 15$ I hate to see the shipping on the Dakota!
Who has a good machine as nice as the Dakota v around the same price?

Nobody! The best thing is to find a used Raw Hide for sale, best machine you will ever buy, unless you run across a Reliable Machine Mfg. machine from the fur dressing era….everything now days is junk compared to those 2, “IN MY OPINION”
Be patient, a Raw Hide will show up, for sell. I’ll let you know if I see one.
No experiance with it but I heard it was a nice machine

Yeah MCKENZIE is getting ridiculous anymore. Wife ripped a new one a while back because shipping was just about as much as the one or two items she needed because they had to ship from two locations. If your gonna buy everybody out then stock all inventory items at all locations. Half the time they don’t even mention that they are gonna have to break up the order and ding you twice for shipping. And sure as poop the box you need to receive first will be delayed then you won’t be able to get the mount done you wanted to on a weekend. Can’t hardly stand em but they have all of the bases that I can’t located at most places. And go with speedee delivery if you can. A lot cheaper and usually just as fast.

That’s the only machine I’ll ever use. Affordable and reliable. The blade guard design is genius.
I have had some shipments from McKenzie that were reasonable in the charges, others seem way over the top of what they should be. We are their mercy for some items and have no choice so we just have to suck it up, like it or not!
The best defense is if you go to shows and they are at that show you can get free shipping and discount. On a major purchase of a fleshing machine that would be nice.
All I have is a Dakota IV (purchased in 1999 for $399.00). It does the job but one day I will upgrade to something better. I am thinking along the lines of a S&S machine. Being that I am only a hobbyist that will probably be years down the line.
