Just curious how every one does there ear butts, do you build them on the form and then cut them off and install in cape, do you use clay or epoxy, or do you install ear liner then put clay in later? I have tried several different methods haven’t decided which works best for me although if I build them on the form first they seem to look better to me. Thanks Cindy

I sculpt my commercial deer ears with Critter Clay before mounting, then cut them off and wrap in Saran Wrap and put in freezer. Then when I mount the deer the butts will hold their shape until I can get them into position.

I like the freezer idea, I will try that on my next mount, although I don’t use critter clay. Thanks D, Cindy
