Not sure which forum this should be posted to…feel free to move it if necessary….
ANYWAY…A good buddy and I do a lot of squirrel hunting, and have for a few years. In my area of the country, we have fox squirrels almost exclusively. If you get close to a larger town, you will find some grays, and in some areas the melanistic gray squirrel out number the greys. One town is simply over run with black phase grays…..
However, in 40+ year of squirrel hunting, this is the ONLY one I’ve ever seen like this:




Forgot to mention….
Anybody have any suggestions on what position to mount this girl in to show off her black belly? I am not a big fan of the “setting eating a nut” pose. I have thought about mounting her hanging off a bird feeder by one leg after I saw a video in the local farm store advertising a squirrel proof bird feeder….
But I’m open to suggestions.
