 I have been thinking for quite awhile about getting a pressure washer to flesh with.  I figured that a 3000 psi unit should be enough (or is it?)  My questions are, if you  use a pressure washer for fleshing is it still necessary to shave the hide on a fleshing machine?  If so, should you run the hide across the flesher before the pickle?  After the tanning?  Both?

Vic a 3000psi is plenty big enough. I have a 2800 it does fine . But they do not shave a skin your still going to have to pickle and shave if you want a thin skin to tan  . Hope that helps you out .

Thanks Tommy!  I figure it is time I got this piece of equipment.  I have been working on the wife for about a year now and I think she is finally ready to let me get it.  Just wanted to make sure it was enough for anything that I may have come my way.

Just tell her like I did mine , I told her I would use it for the house and anything else we needed pressure washed lol
