I’m having trouble with bought pelts falling apart on me.  The only supplies I have at the moment are Zymol leather conditioner and cotton thread.  I have enough money to invest in supplies to repair them, but would not begin to know where to start.  I was directed once before towards Ponal wood glue but can’t find a vendor to send to the United States at a reasonable price (that is, without $40 shipping).  Are there any supplies anyone here could direct me towards?  Also, how would I go about repairing these guys?  Any help is much appreciated!  I feel it’s helpful to note that the bear’s skin is as stiff as a board and many chunks have already fallen off of him.  The rabbits are not stiff, but have the same general problem.

Pics would be helpful so we could see exactly what you are referring to.

Those skins are suffering from acid rot and are going to be damn near impossible to salvage.

Depending on exactly what you are trying to do, you may be able to glue the puzzle back together onto buckskin, this will replace the bad leather with good but will be very difficult to mount if that is what you are trying to do.

You can use DAP contact cement from Lowes or Home Depot.

Thank you.  I don’t want to mount them, I just want to repair them.  For future reference, if you don’t mind me asking, how do I prevent this from happening to the other pelts here?  Thank you again!

They usually are ok unless you try to rehydrate them, that is when they want to fall apart. Especially if they are older Alum dry tans.
