Can anyone put an age or manufacturer on this deer form? Just curious as to what era these were used in. Page I know you have probably seen these back when your dad was doing taxidermy.

Yes Ken,it is fiberglass and hollow. It had the skull plate from in front of the eyes all the way back to the rear of the head. The upper eye socket was actually from the skull and handed sculpted in.

D, not sure when the fiberglass ones where designed. I haven’t seen one without the nose before. Most of the Van Dykes and Jonas forms from the late 60’s and 70’s were mostly paper. It may be a homemade job. I bet Mr Bellucci would know more about it. He knows more about our history than I do.

I’ve seen fiberglass bear forms I’m pretty sure from Jonas. John would be a good one to know, another that would know is Bob Kazmierski up in Johnstown NY.
