……I was hesitant to post this here, due to the strong language…..but why is CJ Fagaen calling Page a cheater on a live national radio show? His dad said he introduced Page to taxidermy, WTH? Gerald Nethercutt (Page’s Dad) was doing seminars in the 80’s at Piedmont.
Charlie also says he won first in the world. I see where he and about 17 others won first in professional and his name was no where close to the top of the list.
Check out this link, at about the 3 minute to the 6 minute mark…..I apologize for the language but this needs to be addressed, for the industry’s sake.
Listened to that mess last week and could not believe what I was hearing. It amazes me the way people act at times. Did they not know that people were listening to what they were saying. Somebody let there 15 min. of fame go to there head.
You know, I’m not even sure how to respond to this. I should probably defend myself. But I feel like it would be beneath me to fuel this incident. I will however defend my father. I had always played in my Dads’ shop growing up. HE and HE alone, brought me into this business!! I didn’t meet Charlie until 2 years after I had reopened my dads’ old shop. Now I was judged by Charlie years ago. He gave me some good critiques, but that all. As far as the rest of it, y’all can decide for yourself. As proof, here’s my Dad teaching me in 1991 while I was still in the Air Force, I didn’t meet Charlie til 1996.
I couldn’t get past the fake laughing that the idiot host was doing, non-stop. The whole mess sounded like a bunch of 8th graders…..dude. There was more than one clown involved in that interview. It is amazing how full of themselves that people can get for NO real reason.
The operative word here seems to be “cheating”. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t CJ take a piece to a show and enter it that Charlie mounted? I don’t know much about either of them but what little bit I know and after listening to that it didn’t take long to form my opinion of those 2 self absorbed individuals.

I didn’t care for them before this , just gave me more reason not too!stuck up arrogance , don’t care for it!
self absorbed is a nice way to put it. page is a stright up guy and for someone to say that he is cheating is another way of saying that your work is not up to the standards that page set for his work.
I listened to the whole thing. (as painful as that was) Someone is going to have to tell me at what point Page was called a cheater. I heard plenty of crap that was ridiculous, classless, and flat out wrong but I never heard anyone call Page a cheater. Maybe I missed it. Somebody point it out to me.

I’m assuming this question is for me Cole, as you always seem to pick apart many of my post.
Maybe I need to go back and listen to it again. But the way I heard it, CJ made the statement that Page was judging the bird category and CJ had a deer at the same show. Page pointed out which deer was CJ’s to possibly persuade the deer judge. Now I don’t know what show this was or if Page had a deer in the comp, but if he pointed out a competitors mount to a judge intentionally,(whether he had a piece in the same category or not) I would consider that “CHEATING”.

So his dad won a blue in the pro division at a world show and he is claiming a best in world title??? Was it at least a blue in master division but not best of category? This really diminishes the hard work and accomplishments of the real medallion winners. He even took credit more than one time, when he was asked over and over again.
I am proud that my husband can claim that title and I witnessed all the hours and hard work he put into his piece. Shame on him to take credit for something he knows very few people will ever get to accomplish.

Get over yourself. I’m not picking apart anything. I’m just saying CJ never called Page a cheater. He said he was talking trash about one of his deer mounts. Who knows, the mount might have sucked??? CJ said a bunch of classless things in that interview. I don’t know the guy from a load of wood, but I lost respect for him after hearing the interview. He said so many things that were flat out wrong that I think you could have titled your post any one of them, and not something he never said.
Also, how does the radio DJ still have a job? That dude was an absolute train wreck to listen to. I can’t imagine someone tuning in to listen to that constant irritating laugh when no one is saying anything funny. OMG
WOW Thats just sad!!! Well all I have to say is, Paige is a good guy! and any titles can easily be checked out. BTW no way could I force myself to listen to that again to tell you where or by who but YES the word CHEATER was used!
