OfflineHello all,
We have a very large snakeskin hide, I would guess about 10ft long and about 30+ years old, I think it’s some type of python, that we are going to have professionally mounted and framed.
My question is, before it gets pinned up, should we use a mineral oil or glycerin to the hide? Would that ruin the skin? Or would it not even make a difference? Some of the scales are flaking off and wasn’t sure if any method would help preserve it a little better.
We live in Arizona so its very dry climate.
Many thanks in advance!
