OfflineHi! New here! I am a Vet Tech and do taxidermy as a hobby – I’ve only done small things. I have a vast collection of mounts that I’ve collected from antique stores, etc and a few of my own small things.
I was gifted a wild boar (shoulder mount) by my mom this past week. Was obtained in the 1970’s by my grandfather. Has not really been “maintained”
Outwardly is in good shape, but the areas around the lips/oral cavity are cracking. I can paint, to touch up color variances, but I’d like to know if there is something I could use to protect the areas from any further cracking.
I don’t even know if this is the correct spot to post this, but any advice is appreciated!
Thanks!
