A decent sized timber rattler. Biggest this year…I caught him eating one of my baby turkeys….DC
I’m in the process of casting the head then I was thinking of mounting it for the shop…….DC
It killed both of my Royal Palm Turkeys. They were about 2 months old….I have five or six in the freezer I am going to thaw pose and cast….They range from about a foot to this guy….DC
glad that thing wasnt around back in the spring when I was over there.lol

I have been pondering the question for a while about poisonous snakes. When your skinning them out if you accidentally poke your self with there fangs would you be injected with venom? or is there any other potential poisonous hazards?
You would have to stick yourself and squeeze the venom sacks at the same time. Since the snake is dead and there is no muscle to control it..I normally skin the head out first and cut it off. I will go back later and remove the fangs to use in the mount…DC
