Very nice. Love your snake work.

Question :

What do you prefer…carving the forms or molding/casting them ? and is this a repro or skin mount ?( looks so good I cannot tell ! )

Thanks a lot Aaron ! It’s a skin mount pretty small about 24in . I think the smaller snakes your better off molding and casting just my opinion.  This one I molded with alginate and poured with bondo/ resin . I’ve been practicing carving some trying to get better at carving but for now molding/casting is easier for me for sure on the little guy’s .

Thanks again for the compliment !

Very nice mount. You said that you poured this one with bondo – resin, what do you normally pour your snake forms with?

Thanks MountNMan! I will still pour the bigger ones with bondo/resin But I just coat the mold with the bondo/resin and pour foam so it’s in the middle . If you look back in the reptile here I posted how I did a 51in gaboon viper .
