I really don’t know how to let all of our Members know (maybe announce it at the auction) but I want everyone to know how many companies supported us with donations this year and also want them to take notes on who did not!!! We have had some really good supporters this year and I for one will try to repay them by shopping with them!!! Thank you Craig for doing this for the NCTA it says alot about you when you can’t even make the show but get all this together and make a donation of this size!!!!

Ok, talked to the guy down at the city cemetary and here is what we came up with.
Sorry about the bad teeth but it was short notice.

Yes folks it was a joke, thats just me, being me. I can dish it out, and I can also take it. If I upset or pissed off anyone, get over it. Life is to short to have your little girl panties up your crack.
This past May was my 12th year as a Cancer survivor. I look at this kind of stuff as, well……. just “Stuff”. Because that is exactly what it is. Don’t get me wrong I hate to lose more than I like to win,(If you don’t believe me, watch a Carolina vs. dook basketball game with me) but when it’s all said and done it’s all still just “Stuff” you can’t take with you.
Yes I do have bad days, and I can/do get pissed in a flat second, and Ohhhhhh can I hold a grudge for a loooooong time. That is something I am not proud of by any means, and I work on it every day. But if you cross me you will know it.
The good Lord left me here for 12+ more years for some reason and I don’t think it was to collect ribbons and plaques. Some days I think I have it all figured out, and the next I’m wondering what exactly I am here for.
I have made a good, honest living doing something taxidermy related for 26 years now, I have met some of the nicest most giving people over those years. I have also met some at the other end of that spectrum as well. But I refuse to let a $3 ribbon, a $15 plaque or a $30 piece of plastic(some people call it acrylic) ruin my reputation or friendship with all the people I have met over the last 26 years.
You can ask Desiree, when I leave a show I competed in, I am more concerned that I have my score sheets, than the ribbons or awards I may have been presented.
Now, If I have or do upset someone this weekend and you make me aware of it you will become nominated for this one last award and I will pick the winner Saturday night at the banquet. I am sponsoring this one myself.
Here it is……
…It also comes with a case of chapstick.

It’s been a little over 72 hours since the Banquet was over. I made the above post the night before the show started, and a whole lot has happened since then.
With that said, after the discussion of seperating the birds into 2 categories and 2 seperate State Champs, and voting and passing it. Then discussing on multiple ribbons and voting and passing it.
After receiving the Blue Ribbon in Masters on Whitetails and winning the NCTA 2012 State Champion “Acrylic” Award for Whitetails, the ribbon has been hung on the wall along with all my others, and the “Acrylic” Award that I am very proud of earning is sitting on the shelf with my 2 McKenzie Arrowheads, I think back on my above post and have come to the conclusion …………….
……………..that it is all just “STUFF”…….and there have been many of friendships that have suffered due to “STUFF”, and to me that is a shame.
