How do you guys do it? Mine has had the lid ripped off three times in the last two days, and today something tried to chew through the lid before ripping it off. I honestly think one of the times our dog got to it, but i think the warmer weather is helping the smell spread attracting other critters. I use a ten gallon rubbermaid storage been with a lid, and now i have an old tire and a few bricks on top to wiegh it down, probably close to 25 lbs.
And im gonna put a game camera on it to see exactly what it is that is trying to get in.

if it was ten years ago, i would have just be throwing some steel down and calling it a day, but now its too built up for that around here… classic suburb situation right here, just enough cover for critters to run around at night and raise all sorts of heck, but not enough for us to do anything about it without some nature loving neighbor flippin out or without being in violation of some stupid ordinance…
I keep mine in a temp controled cooler, this is so I can do some fast maceration during the cold winter. also keeps the smell down til the lid is opened. cost is around $30 for the termostat (line level) and cheap ceramic heater from walmart. Nothing is going to get to these guys
